For his compact C-Class sedan, Mercedes-Benz has performed a suitable alteration for his upcoming 2012 model. The car will record its initial public appearance next month at Detroit Auto Show. The car proposes a tenderly revision on its exterior and new installation of two direct-injection engines.
The company says that the car will present a more distinctive design between its front and rear. This new model will be praised for its sculpted headlights, in which you’ll find noticeable changes by comparing to a 2011 C-Class handy. The navy blue of Brooks Brother suit gives conservative look which should delight traditionalists in the market of luxury car.
The interior will welcome you with sophisticated instrument cluster that includes a high-resolution color display. Though Mercedes’ cabin does exhibit excellent luxuries, cabin trim should be improved slightly. The finish of materials used also needs a minor enhancement.
Safety on each drive is still prioritized in designing a Mercedes’ car. This new 2012 model is featured by five safety instruments. Tiredness detection system called Attention Assist is attached as a standard design. Adaptive Highbeam Assist, Park Assist w/Parktronic, Blind Spot Assist, and Lane Keeping Assist will be optional features to ensure the safety on Mercedes’ drive.
This 2012 version is intended to lineup in C-Class, promoting the C250 as the new entry-level. The C250 will perhaps apply a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission, utilizing twin-turbocharged four-cylinder engine generating 201-hp. Despite Mercedes’ refusal to release its official EPA mpg figures, the car is claimed to increase its fuel efficiency compared to its older version. At the present, the 2011 C-Class sedan produces 18 mpg city/26 mpg highway running on the standard 3.0-liter V-6 cylinder. These figures should be considerably higher on the C250.
Meanwhile, the C300 utilizes a 228-bhp 3.0-liter V-6 engine with Mercedes 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system. A new direct-injection system is also attached, providing 302 hp and 273 ft-lbs of torque. Only the 7-speed automatic transmission will be presented these range-topping models.
Approximately, the current C-Class models are priced $34,000 to $40,000 (sans options). Though official price hasn’t been released, it is believed the new entry-level C250 will be traded in slightly lower price. Just wait for the summer of 2011 to have the 2012 C-Class sedans on sale.
