Previously, GM has introduced the concept of this car back in August under the name Cadillac BRX. However, after through certain considerations, this newest Cadillac will come with the name the 2010 Cadillac SRX. When you first see the car, you might feel that it is a familiar model. It is because; the revealed car designed in August is almost the same with the finished product.

GM will once again show the 2010 Cadillac SRX in the Detroit Automotive Show by the end of December 2009. The car comes with several enhanced technologies inside, but the size will be smaller than the previous model that the SRX is going to replace. GM made some changes in this Cadillac, such as eliminating the 3rd row seat, cargo capacity as well as rear-wheel drive system. In return to these eliminations, the 2010 Cadillac SRX will come with a fuel-efficiency features and some other brilliant ones.

The SRX assimilates some elements that we commonly find in the Epsilon mid-size car. This thing is in accordance with the Theta Premium platform. Some other cars that use the Theta architecture bases are the 2010 GMC Terrain and Chevrolet Equinox. At this moment, you will not find the hybrid version of the 2010 Cadillac SRX. However, GM might launch this edition soon or later.

There are two types of engines that as the power sources of the SRX. The first one is the 2.8I Turbocharged V6 and the other is the 3.0I WT E85 engine V6. The 2.8I can generate up to 260 horsepower at around 6950 rpm. This power can deliver 221-pound feet of torque at the 5600 rpm. While the 3.0I generates higher power up to 300 horsepower at 5500rpm, in which you can expect to get 295-pound feet of torque at the estimated 1850 rpm. Six speed automatic transmissions of the Hydra-Matic 6T70 support the transmission system for both engines.

According to GM, the 3.0I E85 engine with its 260 horsepower has been success to generate 5% more power compared to the previous model. Besides that, in term of fuel economy feature, this newest edition is capable to save 15% fuel energy, compared to the old one with 10% only.

In the navigation system, GM offers two systems available for the 2010 Cadillac SRX, which are the all-wheel and the front-wheel drives. Both models already have an excellent grip controls. However, if you expect to have something more, you can refer to the AWD model, which is considered as advanced because it is also equipped with the rear ELSD element. With this AWD model, the car will automatically transfer up to 100% of torque directly to its wheels when the road is wet or icy. Therefore, you can expect a better traction system on the winter season. Besides that, the system also gives a stabile car control when it runs on high-speed.

You can expect luxurious features in the 2010 Cadillac SRX. GM can be proud with the pop-up navigation system that they implement in the car. The navigation system is even similar to the one that we find in the CTS. In the interior, you will get a hand- sewn leather cover. If you want to bring a home theater experience into your car, you can custom your car with a dual-screen entertainment system at the rear part. While from the exterior, there are some eye-catching parts that make the Cadillac looked stunning, such as 18-20 inch wheels, vertical headlights, chrome fender vents and etc.

The Cadillac CTS smallest luxury sedan returns unchanged following a significant overhaul in 2008. Keep hold of its aggressive angular front end and oversize grille, the 2009 Cadillac CTS blends performance-style power and handling through the quiet comfort and rich materials associated with the Cadillac name. An automatic transmission is standard, but the 2009 Cadillac CTS remains the only Cadillac to also present a traditional manual gearbox, available on the FSI V6. The rear-wheel-drive sedan can be equipped with all-wheel drive, but only in sedans through an automatic transmission. All trims feature full power accessories, leatherette upholstery and trim, and a Bose sound system, but plenty of stand-alone or packaged selection add upscale technology and performance features.

The base engine is GM’s 3.6 liter V6, but our test vehicle had the new direct-injected V6. The manual has a ‘sport’ mode, where you choose the gears; getting in is as simple as knocking the gearshift over to the right, then pushing it forward to move up a gear or pulling it back to drop down a gear. Generally, the automatic ends up in the right gear at the right time; it does have a tendency, at times, to hang around in a lower than needed gear, in case power is suddenly needed. On the highway, hitting the gas results in a mild delay while the transmission downshifts, then a quick zoom forward once the engine digs in at around 5,000 rpm (redline is around 7,000 rpm). Experimenting with the manual override showed us that the engine makes very little power until around 3,500, when it starts to build quickly; if you stay in gear, the Caddy is sluggish at highway speeds, though it’s fine around town.

As in the usual Cadillac CTS, the automatic has paddle shifters on the steering wheel, and we’re impressed that Cadillac is offering both setups. The CTS-V adopts the STS’ Magnetic Ride Control, which reads the road and varies suspension settings to match driving conditions. An optional Performance Traction Management system aims to optimize traction with an eye toward maximizing acceleration — as opposed to conventional traction control, which mostly tries to optimize traction. Styling changes from the freshly minted Cadillac CTS include larger 19-inch wheels, a larger grille and the requisite lower body cladding. The cabin features deeply bolstered Recaro seats with grippier suede-like inserts, as well as dark obsidian trim and a microfiber-lined steering wheel

It is very easy to fall for Cadillac Escalade. US News and World Report, two international printed media, has awarded Cadillac Escalade as Best New American Car by Forbes and BusinessWeek in 2007 and also as the number one luxurious Large SUV last year. Indeed, General Motor deserves standing ovation over their success in developing SUV as they barely new entered the SUV market. This year, the oldest motor company in United States launches 2009 Cadillac Escalade with better performance. For the available on-the-road Escalade, its strong appearance reflected upon its stylish chivalrous outlook with its bold and 22 inches chrome wheels.

The 4 wheel drive (4WD) car has proven its performance on the road. Its economic fuel consumption certified by US Environmental Protection Agency for spending 12 miles in the city and 18 miles on highway. While for the 2WD vehicle shares the same consumption in the city but takes 19 miles on highway. This is very rare for the similar V8 and 6-speed automatic transmission SUV car. It delivers 403 horse-power with 415 pound feet of torque. Compared to its sporty look, Escalade’s engine provides more power and comfort instead of fulfilling desires of experiencing sport driving.

Its large cabin can load up to 8 people. Options of seat types are the most favorable by users. Cadillac Escalade gives options for the comfort of their users: the standard leather and heated seat. While cooled seated is optional. Everybody loves the new interior of 2009 Cadillac Escalade, especially the installed full set of premium Bose stereo sound system with dual play (CD/DVD/radio player) with 8 inch roof-mounted, flat screen, CD changer which can load 6 CDs at once, and 10 speakers which will give extra pleasure and pride of joy ride.
So, why wait?

So far, the market of luxury cars is determined by BMW, Mercedes, and Audi. This has been a clear fact that then becomes a general faith that if you need a luxury car, you just need to choose from those three brands. However, Cadillac is taking its time to break this faith by launching its sport luxury car, Cadillac CTS V6 three years ago. This car is remodeled from the range and hit the European market. Looking for its design, it is absolutely above the average of general Motors products but is still considered as below the BMW, Mercedes or Audi standard. The review said that this is the entry level of Cadillac which is used to attract first buyers only.

This is a car that is not intended for family usage since the interior of the back seat will only meet passengers’ needs. From the interior design, you just need to make single click in order to open the drivers’ door but two click will open all doors. This surely makes everything easy. The driver can feel comfortable during the journey as the space is large enough for the driving position. The seat is adjustable with the seatbelt attached directly to the seat so that you can find the most comfortable position. This arrangement is said to be safety friendly. This car is equipped with a navigation system which is manufactured by Toyota. You can use this while you are driving to a town which you relatively know.

On the road, the Cadillac CTS V6 is a car that is very pleasant to drive. You will experience great safety within your driving and you will enjoy little sportiveness within your driving in minor roads. People said that this is the best Cadillac in forty years which means that having this car will be a great investment. It is not only the interior which has been successfully drive customers but the exterior has also shown that this car is worth.
