Introducing the Jaguar XF, It’s all-new sedan designed to rival the BMW 5 series and Mercedes E Class. The stylish sedan, first introduced at 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show in September in Germany, adopts a sportier look, with a lower roofline and a more aggressive stance. The headlights may look less dramatic and tamer than the C-XF concept car, but the XF glows a sense of modernity and sexiness that you have to see to believe.
Inside, the XF is elegant and undeniably stylish, with sleek touches and fine finish. At night, the XF reveals more of its beauty: phosphor blue lighting illuminates the instruments and the edges of the controls. Prepare yourself for a futuristic driving experience with Jaguar’s innovative Jaguar Drive Selector, a rotary shift interface that rises out of the transmission tunnel when the car is turned on, and can be rotated to select park, reverse, neutral, drive and sequential mode.
The XF is equipped with either 300 horsepower or 420 horsepower. The 300 hp is produced from a 4.2-liter V8 engine, while the 420 hp from a supercharged version of it. It is rumored that a 500 horsepower XF-R will arrive some time next year. Jaguar has stated that the regular V8 model can accelerate to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds, while the supercharged version can achieve the same speed in just 5.1 seconds. The XF is available in 18, 19, 20-inch wheels. It is estimated that the XF’s fuel economy is 16 MPG city/25 MPG highway.
