In the midsize car class, the 2010 Nissan Altima comes out in the 10th position among the other 24 cars. The data is reliable since it is taken from 81 published reviews as well as the test driving itself.
If you are looking for a speeding car like V8 Mustang or Mazda Miata, the 2010 Nissan Altima might not be able to compete. However, Altima offers something that those other cars in the same class do not. Even though it is not a sport car, Nissan presents the Altima with an excellent handling and acceleration systems. You will have the utmost driving experience in a middle size sedan with the 2010 Nissan Altima.
It might not look too sporty compared to the V8 Mustang, but it still appears sportier compared to Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. According to Nissan approximation, the buyers of Altima are likely 65% male, because the exterior as well as the interior are very close to the masculine side. It is different from the Toyota Camry whose buyers are mostly female.
The other competitors that offer the similar features as in the 2010 Nissan Altima are only a few, such as Mazda 6 and Ford Fusion. One of the best driving experiences that you will get from Altima is its very smooth transmission with an active acceleration system. Therefore, you will feel like driving Altima is faster than other cars ultimately.
There are two models of Altima offered, which are 4-doors and coupe. If you want a manual transmission, you must refer to the coupe model, because the 4-door model is only available in the automatic transmission. However, the coupe models are available for both transmissions, manual and automatic.
Regarding the engine, there are some available options in each model. For the 4-doors sedan, the engines offered are a V6-powered 3.5SR, a 2.5 model and a well-equipped 2.5S. While for the coupe one, there are only two engines options available known as a 2.5S and 3.5SR adornments. The one with a 3.5SR engine can cost as much as USD$30,000.
Nissan has made some necessary improvements in its interior. They use higher quality of plastics and fabrics into the interior so that the cabin gives a more luxurious touch. Further, Nissan also makes use of the sheet metal in order to present a well-built exterior.
With all these improvements, both interior and exterior, the 2010 Nissan Altima is expected to conquer the automotive market in 2010.
