The new 2009 Volkswagen Passat four doors coupe brings chivalrous outlook. For middle class sedan, Volkswagen Passat positions itself a class higher than it is. The sleek body expresses royal appearance that you will have when riding it. Passat is out with two engines, diesel and gasoline.
The 2.0 liter diesel engine produces 200 horse power at 5100. VW claimed with this engine Passat could reach 62 miles per hour within 7.6 seconds. While the other type with 3.6 liter V6 FSI produces 300 horse power at 6600 rpm. And it can reach 6.2 miles per hour at 6.6 seconds. 4Motion for all wheel drive is included in the FSI engine. For the European edition adds DSG dual-clutch transmission and for the North American version is offered with six-speed Triptronic automatic transmission. The great thing is the gas engine is provided with Dynamic Drive Control (DDC), an adjustable suspension device for “normal”, “sport” and “comfort” modes. It is also given Lane Assist and ACC Automatic Distance Control to maintain speed and distance with vehicles up front and behind. Lane Assist will help drivers to auto-streer the vehicle back to the lane if it is drifted slightly by using an installed camera in the inside mirror. This fleet is also equipped with auto climate control.
The exterior came out with sporty double curves with 17 inch wheel alloys with antitheft locks, automatic halogen projector lens headlights and fog lamps for long driver purposes. The interior came out elegant with 12-way heated leather covered seat, six air bags, eight-speaker six in-dash CD changer audio system with elegant dashboard style available in two-tone Comsilk Beige Leather and other astonishing elements which add comfort during the ride.
The mileage reaches 21 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon on the highway. With 3 years warranty for standard version, who can resist?
